About Gale Hartman
Gale Hartman of Gale Hartman’s Studio has always loved to “play” with art materials.
As a child, she was often sick in bed but drew, colored, cut, pasted, and invented while she listened to soap operas on the radio. Gale earned her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Art and Art Education at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Gale has taught Art to grades 1-12 in Wisconsin and has been a design, drawing, and painting instructor at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and at the Donovans at the University of Kentucky. Living a year in England and a year in France has broadened her understanding of the importance of art.
Gale’s personal paintings reflect her love of life, her joy at nature’s beauty and her understanding of the energy in all living things. Gale feels that having some of nature’s real beauty in our lives is necessary for us a feel a deep level of peace.
